The starting point is the Ahlesbrücke bridge in Kappl. From there, the trail leads through the hamlet of Labebene towards Grübeletal. The trail leads along the Grübelebach stream up to the crystal-clear Grübelesee lake (2,120m). If you are fit enough, you can extend the tour and climb up to the Grübelekopf (2,894 metres) at the end of the valley. The summit marks the border between Austria and Switzerland. The descent is via the Grübele valley again.
Tip: On the way back, you can stop off at the beautiful Gampertun Alpe. Return to See through the Gampertun and Ronenmaiswald forests.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Ahlesbrücke
