Ischgl‘s wind-resistant cable car: Alongside Fimbabahn and 3-S-Pardatschgratbahn cable cars, Silvrettabahn cable car is one of Ischgl’s three entry points to the ski resort. In only 15 minutes, the cable car takes you up to 2,320 metres above sea level.

Silvrettabahn A1 cable car offers space for up to 18 passengers per cabin. With eight engines with a total of 4,350 HP, countless wheels, rolls and several kilometres of cables, it is a true powerhouse, moving at an unbelievable speed of six metres per second. By the way: Silvrettabahn is a funitel cable car, making it particularly safe in strong winds

The cable car was built by Austrian cable car manufacturer Doppelmayr. It is famous for its powerful performance, quickly and safely taking you up the mountain. Here are some technical specifications:

Silvrettabahn A1 is a powerful funitel cable car. What does it mean? A funitel gondola lift runs on two parallel overhead cables from which the individual cabins are suspended. Thanks to its excellent suspension, a large number of passengers can be transported comfortably and safely. What’s more, funitel cable cars are particularly wind-resistant.

When the mountains are calling, Silvrettabahn cable car swiftly takes you up to the Tyrolean summits, both in summer and winter. Here are some more facts:
