17,300 fans celebrated Easter with Andreas Bourani in Ischgl

Andreas Bourani ignited his "fireworks of endorphins" on 16 April in the middle of the Ischgl ski resort at an altitude of 2,320 metres. The next concert highlight: the season finale with Zucchero on 30 April. The slopes are still open until 1 May.

Easter in Ischgl, snow-covered mountains and, thanks to Andreas Bourani, an exuberant atmosphere at the legendary "Top of the Mountain Easter Concert" in the centre of the ski resort. On 16 April 2017, 17,300 winter sports fans couldn't contain their excitement when their idol and his band took to the world-famous Idalp stage at 2,320 metres above sea level. Rousing songs such as "Auf uns", "Ultraleicht" and "Astronaut" met touching ballads and provided the visitors with more than just a "firework display of endorphins". But even if women's hearts melted at the sight of Bourani, the snow remained:

Because thanks to the altitude of between 1,400 and 2,900 metres, the 238 kilometres of pistes in the Silvretta Arena will have the best snow conditions until the season finale on 1 May 2017, even in warmer temperatures. "It's an indescribable feeling to perform in the middle of the mountains. I'm really looking forward to skiing and exploring the Ischgl ski area myself. The pistes look great!" says Andreas Bourani. After the concert, the brave ones used the new "Ischgl Skyfly" flying fox facility from the middle station of the Silvrettabahn cable car to ride down into the valley, rounding off their perfect Easter ski day.

Next Ischgl highlight: season finale with Zucchero

The concert and ski season in Ischgl is far from over with Andreas Bourani's performance: on 30 April 2017, Italian rock star Zucchero will make his debut at the season finale and will create a great atmosphere with his world hits such as "Baila Morena", "Senza una Donna" and "Miserere" at the "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" in front of a magnificent mountain backdrop from 1 pm. With him on the Idalp stage at 2,320 metres above sea level: his 13-piece band, all of whom are among the best in their field. They include Hammond virtuoso Brian Auger, guitarist Kat Dyson, drummer Queen Cora Dunham and bassist and musical director Polo Jones. Admission is free with a valid ski pass. "In Ischgl, we guarantee perfect piste conditions until 1 May thanks to the high altitude. With Zucchero, we have once again succeeded in bringing another music legend to Ischgl to end the season in style." Andreas Steibl, Managing Director of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourist Board.
