15,000 rocked for Rod Stewart on the Ischgl Idalp

15,000 music enthusiasts stormed Rod Stewart's "Top of the Mountain Concert" in the brightest sunshine on the last Sunday in April. End of the season in Ischgl! The Silvretta Ski- und Funsportarena was almost boiling over due to the excellent atmosphere. On Saturday, veteran rocker Rod, 55, checked into Ischgl with his new love Penny Lancaster, 28, a photography student.

The Austrian Alps - "a completely new experience for me" - were a huge hit with one of the legends of the music world, who celebrated her debut in the mountains in Ischgl. Less enamoured with skiing - "I only play football!" - he ordered 24 footballs, which he kicked into the roaring crowd during the concert.

His fans have appreciated and celebrated Rod for over 25 years and his music is the soundtrack to countless life stories. Songs such as "Maggie May", "First Cut Is The Deepest" and "Have I Told You Lately" are milestones in rock and pop history. And with each new hit, Rod Stewart proved anew his quality as a multi-faceted musician.

His expressive, raspy voice, his quirky silk suits and his passion for football and blondes also created his legendary rocker image in Ischgl.

One evening before the "Top of the Mountain Concert", the whole of Ischgl was already a disco. Numerous stages and guests partying outdoors created an exuberant atmosphere throughout the village. The end of the season in Ischgl and the crowd goes wild!

And soon the big Ischgl summer opening will beckon. From the end of June, action and fun sports will be the order of the day at Club Village Ischgl Mountains. Whether winter or summer, a visit to Ischgl will always be an experience.
