The large cross stands out because of its size, but it is also artistically interesting. The Corpus Christi (1777) is by Johann Ladner. At the foot is the carved figure of the Sorrowful Mary on a gilded console. Her pathetic gestures seem exaggerated, but are typical of Baroque art before/around 1750. On the relief above the inscription cartouche, the Poor Souls are suffering in Purgatory.
