Parish church to the Holy Saint Sebastian (Roman Catholic)
In 1674, the people of Mathon began to build the church. Chaplain Schett wrote in 1895 in his “General Chronicle of Mathon”: “The church was built in 1674. However, the small Gothic church, which was later used as the presbytery of the church, must have already existed in the 15th century. After 8 years of construction, the church was consecrated on 20 June 1682 by the prince-bishop of Chur, Ulrich VI, in honour of the saints of the plague, Sebastian and Rochus.
