THE WEATHER TODAY
In the coming days, we are in for highly variable weather, and the weather models still do not completely agree on the details, so the outlook for the beginning of next week remains uncertain. By Friday morning, a warm front will pass through, briefly raising the snow line to 1900 meters above sea level. However, by midday, a cold front will follow with occasionally stormy westerly winds, causing the snow line to drop again. At the same time, the air will become significantly drier, which could lead to larger clear spells in the late afternoon. On Saturday, ahead of the arrival of the next cold front, there will be temporary foehn conditions. Despite this, it will remain heavily overcast, and new precipitation will set in during the afternoon. The snow line will drop to lower valley levels overnight into Sunday. By Monday morning, we will still be under the influence of moderately strong, moist, and cold northwesterly barrier effects. During the first half of the week, the remaining cloud cover will increasingly dissipate. Sunshine will take over, but it will remain wintery cold.
