DAILY WEATHER IN DETAIL
THE WEATHER TODAY
After the passage of a cold front, we will remain consistently on the early-winter cold side of the weather. Wednesday will bring us a not-unpleasant mix of some sunshine and clouds. There is a tendency for significant more sunshine on Thursday, with clouds returning persistently in the late afternoon. A highly impactful frontal system is expected for Friday. Friday morning will initially see the arrival of a warm front, temporarily raising the snow line to around 1600 meters above sea level. By midday, the cold front will swiftly follow, causing the snow line to drop again to around 1000 meters above sea level. A thorough improvement in the weather will not occur until Saturday morning. During the day, it will mostly remain cloudy, but strong southern föhn winds will develop in the mountains ahead of the next cold front. The cold front will cross our area during the night into Sunday, and on Sunday itself, we will be affected by a damp, cold northwesterly barrier effect.
