Description
The Bike & Hike route starts at the information office in Galtür. First, head along the Trisanna in the direction of Mathon. At the hamlet of Piel, turn onto the Unterer Pielweg, continue towards Mathon, cross the Pachtlbach stream and follow the forest path. The road winds its way through wooded terrain in a few turns up to the Friedrichshafener Hütte (2,151 m). The hut lies lonely by a small lake and offers a fantastic view of the Silvretta and the majestic Fluchthorn. From here you continue on foot. The hiking trail first leads above the tree line towards Muttenjoch. From there, follow the exposed path, secured with ropes, to the Gaisspitz (2,779 m).
Tip: The Gaisspitz is a beautiful panoramic mountain and is also perfect for a sunrise tour.
