Good news for fans of mountain biking: Ischgl Ironbike is an outstanding cycling event that’s also interesting for licensed riders. The “extreme route” – the Ischgl Ironbike Marathon – is the most challenging option, but all other routes are fairly demanding as well. Did you know that the race takes place on the region’s former smugglers’ trails that were originally used to transport contraband from Ischgl to Samnaun and back?
However, Ischgl Ironbike is not just for die-hard professionals – it also offers great options for aspiring cycling talents. For instance, young riders can show off their skills and compete against their peers at the Kids & Juniors Trophy presented by Volksbank Tirol. With different routes for every age group, there’s the perfect option for everyone.
A well-known classic is the Short Track: as the name suggests, the focus is not on distance. The Short Track Race is all about speed and technique, requiring contestants to navigate the winding trails between two opposing hills in Ischgl.
