THE WEATHER TODAY
There will be very little change in the weather this week. High air pressure will continue to dominate the weather and block approaching disturbances from the Atlantic. At the same time, warm air will continue to flow in, even though it will be slightly cooler in the mountains than it was last weekend. Tuesday will bring us mostly sunny weather again. The air stratification above us will be temporarily quite unstable in the middle of the week, with a few cumulus clouds joining the sunshine. There are likely to be a few more extensive cloud fields that may move in front of the sun on Thursday. Friday, on the other hand, will be very sunny again. At the same time, however, a foehn-like southerly wind will pick up in the mountains, which will remain with us over the weekend and cause more changeable weather. However, some precipitation seems likely only in the main Alpine ridge.
